Sites by Marvel (sitesbymarvel.com) is a website design and maintenance service run by Marvel Corp. This page explains what we collect, why, and what we never do with it.
What we collect
- Your quote request. When you fill in "Get a Free Quote", your name, how to reach you (email, phone or social handle), the kind of project and the details you write are put into a message. That message is sent only when you send it from your own email app, or when you paste it to us yourself. The form on this page does not send or store anything on its own.
- Emails and messages you send us, and what you tell us while we plan, build or look after your website.
- An anonymous visitor count. When a page loads, it adds one to a daily count of visits. No cookies are set, your IP address is not stored, and nothing identifies you: each visitor is counted with a scrambled code that is thrown away every day.
How we use it
- To answer your request, prepare a quote and do the work you ask for.
- To send you invoices, updates about your project and, if you have a care plan, reports about your site.
- To see how many people visit this site, in total only.
What we never do
- We never sell, rent or trade your information.
- We don't use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics on this site.
- We don't send marketing emails unless you ask us to.
Who else sees it
Only the services we need to do the job: our email provider (IONOS), the host for this site (GitHub Pages), and, while we build or host your website, the hosting, domain and payment services you agree to. Each of them handles data under its own privacy policy. We may also share information if the law requires it.
Your website's visitors
When we build or look after a website for you, you decide what that site collects, and we can help you write its own privacy page. We only use your site's data to build and maintain it for you.
Keeping it and deleting it
We keep project emails and records for as long as we work together, and afterwards for as long as tax and business records require. Ask us any time to see, correct or delete what we hold about you. Email contact@sitesbymarvel.com and we will reply within 30 days.
Children
This site and our services are for businesses and adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we update the date at the top of this page.
